Hiking in the Fiemme valley
The Fiemme valley is the perfect starting point for hiking and nordic walking.
The Fiemme valley is a corner of green paradise for hikers, excursionists, climbers and for all those who love the mountains, especially the imposing peaks of the Dolomites, their fragrant woods, their foaming rivers, their lively and quaint towns.
Every day is devoted to the discovery on new paths, unique panoramas, local mountain huts and the so-called “malghe”. The Guest Emotion card of the Fiemme valley offers you a rich program of daily activities, combined with the free use of all lift facilities and public transfers.
Among the several wonderful hikings and excursions of our valley, we suggest you:
THE BOMBASEL LAKES (LAGORAI CHAIN)
TIME: 2 hours
DEPARTURE: From the top of Paion del Cermis (2229 m)
which can be reach by cable car from Cavalese.
REMARKS: Easy upper-level excursion with the panoramic view of Lagorai chain. The Bombasel lakes moirror sun and the surrounding nature. Ideal for families.
THE LATEMAR MAZE
DIFFICULTY: Medium - Easy
TIME: 3-4 hours
DEPARTURE: Parking of Carezza lake (1.520m)
REMARKS: Walk along the Carezza lake before taking the path leading first to Mitterleger and then to the maze created by a landslide of the mountain.
THE CRISTO PENSANTE ( ROLLE PASS)
TIME: 2-3 hours
DEPARTURE: From Baita Segantini (2.170m)
REMARKS: Take the confortable path towards the monte Castellazzo offering you a magnificient view of the Pale di San Martino, Val Venegia and the Marmolada. Go up to the mountain where the statue of Cristo Pensante stands.
TIME: 1,5 hours until Malga Venegiota
TIME: 3 hours until Baita Segantini
DEPARTURE: From the entrance of Val Venegia on the route leading to Valles Pass.
REMARKS: Take the path towards MAlga Venegia and Malga Venegiota. Following the indications, you can go on your way until the Baita Segantini.The paths winds along a lovely landscape overlooking the imposing Pale di San Martino. Return on the same way.
DIFFICULTY: Medium (for excusionists)
TIME: 7-8 hours
DROP: 1.180 m
DEPARTURE: From the brige at the beginning of Val Maggiore (1.570 m)
REMARKS: Take the path 336 leading to Cece lake (1.879 m). Go over until the Caserina lake fisrt and than the Cece col (2.393 m). Take the path 349 and after one hour walk, you find a turning on to the left leading to Cece peak (2.754 m). Keep on the sam etrack as you go down to Val Maggiore col toward the bivouac Paolo e Nicola.Return following path 335.
TIME: 4-5 hours
DROP: 320 m
DEPARTURE: From Pampeago lifts or from Tresca chair lift.
REMARKS: Take the dirt road 514 towards Baita Caserina and Baita la Bassa. Then, take the path 523 until Baita Armentagiola. Once arrived here, if you follow path 518 it's possible to go the long way rount until Cornacci peak (2.189 m). From here you can enjoy a bird's eye view of the Fiemme Valley. Return on the same way.
